A craft lodge is a term used to describe a type of lodge within the Freemasonry fraternity. A lodge is a gathering of Freemasons who meet on a regular basis to participate in Masonic activities and rituals. A craft lodge focuses solely on the first three degrees of Freemasonry. In this sense, the term "craft" refers to the operative stonemasons who founded the Masonic guilds in medieval Europe. In Freemasonry, the craft lodge symbolically represents the stonemasons' workshop and serves as the foundation for all other Masonic degrees and orders.

=Higher and Side Degrees=

After completing the three Craft Degrees in Freemasonry, many members choose to pursue further advancement within the organization by joining one of several higher degrees. These degrees offer a deeper understanding of the principles and philosophies of Freemasonry, and provide members with unique opportunities for personal growth and development. The higher degrees of Freemasonry are organized into various orders or systems, each with its own distinctive teachings and rituals. Some of the most well-known higher degrees include the Royal Arch, the Mark Master, the Knights Templar, and the Scottish Rite. Each of these degrees builds upon the lessons learned in the Craft Degrees, and provides members with new insights and perspectives on the nature of Freemasonry and its role in the world.

The Freemasonry Wiki is a project by the members of a UK Esoteric Lodge. The aim of the wiki is to offer members of all masonic obediences with further knowledge about the esoteric nature of Freemasonry. As a result, some topics may be subjective and open to wide discussion. In such cases, we encourage people to utilize the discussion tab to propose revisions and engage in debates.
