Craft Masonry
A craft lodge is a term used to describe a type of lodge within the Freemasonry fraternity. In Freemasonry, a lodge is a group of members who meet regularly to engage in Masonic activities and rituals. A craft lodge is specifically focused on the first three degrees of Freemasonry. The term "craft" in this context refers to the operative stonemasons who originally formed the basis of the Masonic guilds in medieval Europe. In Freemasonry, the craft lodge symbolically represents the workshop of the stonemasons and is the foundation upon which all other Masonic degrees and orders are built. Craft lodges are typically led by a Master Mason and may also include officers such as Senior and Junior Wardens, Treasurer, and Secretary. The lodge meets regularly for craft business and ritual, and members engage in a variety of activities including degree work, charitable events, and social gatherings. Overall, the craft lodge plays an important role in Freemasonry as it is the gateway to the rest of the fraternity and provides a strong foundation for Masonic education and growth.

Higher and Side Degrees
After completing the three Craft Degrees in Freemasonry, many members choose to pursue further advancement within the organization by joining one of several higher degrees. These degrees offer a deeper understanding of the principles and philosophies of Freemasonry, and provide members with unique opportunities for personal growth and development. The higher degrees of Freemasonry are organized into various orders or systems, each with its own distinctive teachings and rituals. Some of the most well-known higher degrees include the Royal Arch, the Mark Master, the Knights Templar, and the Scottish Rite. Each of these degrees builds upon the lessons learned in the Craft Degrees, and provides members with new insights and perspectives on the nature of Freemasonry and its role in the world.
